In cooperation with the Development agency from Hungary – DARFU, as a part of the CBC Hungary-Serbia, Regional Development agency of Backa has prepared and submitted the project entitled FOCUS - “Fostering Cooperation, Utilizing Networking, for Sustainable Regional Development in the Cross Boarders Regions”.
The main goal of the project is to establish and strengthen cooperation between cross-border regions of Backa and Csongrád in order to ensure sustainable regional development and reduce the marginalization of the border regions.

The main activities of the project relate to the transfer of knowledge and experience of the Development agency from Hungary to the newly established RDA Backa, and its founders (local authorities from the region of Backa) through organization of trainings, organization of the Regional forum on cooperation of participants in these two regions, preparation of the study, i.e. action plan for future cooperation of the regions for the period 2012-2020, creation of the database based on the defined key priorities for sustainable regional development and organization of study visits to the RDA in Hungary with a focus on implemented projects financed from EU funds.
