In early April of 2011, Regional Development Agency Backa signed Operational grant agreement with the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, titled "Operational Grant Institutional support for development capacities of Regional Development Agency Backa" which will provide institutional support for Agency’s capacity development.

The main objective is to stimulate and promote sustainable economic and social development in the Backa region. Planned activities under this project are a priori aimed to strengthen Agency’s capacity as well as improving the socio-economic development of the region as a whole.

In the implementation of project activities the partners are the founders of RDA Backa, i.e. 13 local authorities in the territory of Backa region, and representatives in the civil and private sector.
Project implementation period is 36 months (March 2011 - March 2014.), and the total value of this project amounts to 312.500,00 EUR.
